Under the Trade Related Technical Assistance Programme, the European Union (EU) has approved a Private Sector Development (PSD TRTA-III) Program for Pakistan. The rationale of this component is to support the productive capacity of Pakistan's economic sectors with export potential, through well targeted interventions, mainly at the level of effective intermediary organisations that can deliver relevant and sustainable business development services to local enterprises. PITAD has been associated with EU formulation mission to undertake consultation with the relevant stakeholders to identify sectors and prioritise interventions. PITAD has been designated as the focal point.
