Trade Related Technical Assistance II

Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA-II) program is a European Union (EU) funded project with the main objective of helping Pakistan in building the necessary capacity to address trade related issues, thereby fostering its integration into world economy and contributing to poverty alleviation. The main implementing agency for the TRTA-II program is the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), which has further sub-contracted 'Component-1 (Trade Policy Capacity Building) to International Trade Centre (ITC), 'Component-2 (Export Development through Improvement of the Quality Infrastructure) to be implemented by UNIDO itself and 'Component-3 (Strengthening of Intellectual Property Rights) to World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). On behalf of the Government, Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD) has been designated as the focal point for the whole programme and will carry out the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programme. PITAD has been designated as the focal point.
